Crokinole
Crokinole is a traditional dexterity game and is played on a circular wooden board, with wooden circular disks as playing pieces.
Dimensions: 80cm x 80cm for the board and 70cm high for the stand.
What does the game include? 1 board and 1 stand and 12 white and 12 red counters.
How to play – Players take turns shooting disks across the circular wooden board by flicking the disks with their fingers.
Players must position their disk on the start of each of their turns in their quadrant in front of them, touching the outer scoring ring boundary. Players try to land their disks in scoring regions on the board, with the highest scoring area the recessed hole in the very centre of the board.
Each round, each player/side alternately shoots all 12 disks one disk each turn.
If there are none of your opponents disks on the board, your disk must end up in the circle where the pins are. If not, that piece is removed form the board.
If the are 1 or more of your opponents pieces on the board you must hit one of these pieces or your piece will be removed. If you hit you own counter and not your opponents piece, both your piece and the piece you hit will be removed.
It is usually played as a two-player game or as a four-player game with partners.
Play is to a set score, usually the first player/side to 100. At the end of the round
